Apparently there are porn stars in the US who would love to work with Maria Ozawa! I was away for a few days so I just caught a post on Scanlover made by dumasp noting that American pornstar Belladonna posted on Twitter that she wanted to “bring Maria Ozawa to Los Angeles and fuck her brains out.” She also asks if anyone knows how to get in touch with her. Then Jenna Haze replied to her via twitter stating that she has been trying to contact Maria for 2 years with no luck! dumasp’s post sparked quite a discussion, so check it out if you can access Scanlover.
So could we see Maria Ozawa do American porn one day? She does speak English, and she has shown a willingness to do things counter-productive to her career in Japan (I think the tattoos will shut her out of some studios). Still, I think its a long shot. She still has an active career in Japan, even if she doesn’t top the sales lists, and she has a large fanbase in other Asian countries.
I think it certainly would be interesting to see her in American porn, but would it be good for JAV’s exposure overseas? Maria Ozawa is probably the most widely known JAV star among people who don’t particularly follow JAV, so a video with her could draw some attention. However, I would rather see someone like Yuma Asami or Shou Nishino get exposure in the west so that people could see how great performances in JAV can be. Maria has come a long way since her S1 days, but her performances are not at the level of the top actresses. Having said that, I think a larger percentage of Western porn fans would find the mixed Maria Ozawa more attractive than girls like Yuma Asami. Combined with her English speaking ability, I think Maria Ozawa could have a bigger impact on Western fans than most other JAV stars. If Maria Ozawa doing American porn would mean a few people checking out Japanese adult videos, I would be all for it.
