Irokoishi is an adult themed manga popular with the otaku crowd which was made into several movies. The first movie in 2007 Irokoshi had popular AV idol Maria Ozawa in the cast while the subsequent chapters featured other popular AV stars such as Sora Aoi and Yurina Sato (Jan 2008) and Akiho Yoshizawa, Misa Kikouden and SANA in the latest chapter released in Dec 2008

The main character of the movies is Kikunosuke was who was raised by Tatsukichi, the female manager of a traditional Japanese restaurant. Tatsukichi teaches Kikunosuke to play the traditional Japanese string instrument Shamisen and trains him in the virtue of abstinence. However when he turns 18 he becomes a “man” after spending a night with a geisha. From then on he becomes a man on a mission to become the best Saoshi (The Rod Master) in Japan and helps various women find fulfillment in their lives along the way.
